WHAT'S AROUND THE LOCAL AREA

There's lots to see and do in Sunderland and the surrounding area.  We're lucky to have some of the most beautiful beaches and coastal walks in the UK, and a stunning park just on our doorstep which is great for long walks and runs or revision in the summer time.  

And of course, if you're a football fan, we have The Stadium of Light, home to Sunderland AFC, just minutes away which also plays host to huge concerts from the likes of Beyonce and Coldplay.  If culture and theatre are your thing, you'll be a minute away from the wonderful Sunderland Empire theatre, with West End productions on your doorstep at Burdon House.
